How much does car recovery cost?

A recovery quote combines attendance, the loaded journey and any equipment or circumstances specific to the vehicle. These are TowMate's current base rates, not a market-wide average or a guaranteed quote for your job.

For a standard 3.5t-class recovery with 10 loaded miles and no extras: £80 + (10 × £2.75) = £107.50.

This is an illustration, not a customer job or a live offer. It assumes daytime collection, a vehicle that can be loaded normally, and no motorway, accident, electric-vehicle or specialist-loading supplement. Your actual route and answers determine the quote.

Why vehicle details matter

Truck classes describe the recovery equipment, not a universal payload allowance. Vehicle mass, condition and loading needs must be suitable for the actual truck. Registration data does not always include an exact model or weight, so confirm missing details rather than relying on a guessed specification.

Before you pay

Check pickup, destination, vehicle condition and every price line. Roadside tyre supply and fuel are different charges from recovery mileage. If your situation changes, discuss it with support or the partner before work proceeds.

TowMate arranges independent recovery partners. The booking status confirms allocation; availability and arrival cannot be inferred from a price alone. Cancellation and refund terms are linked below.
