These terms govern your use of the TowMate app and the recovery services booked through it. By booking a job you agree to them.
The service
TowMate connects drivers of broken-down vehicles with independent, vetted recovery partners. Partners perform the recovery under their own trading terms; TowMate is not the operator of the recovery vehicle.
Booking and pricing
Prices are quoted before you approve. Recovery pricing is based on vehicle weight class: 3.5 tonne callout £80, 7.5 tonne callout £100. Accident recoveries are £100 (3.5t) / £120 (7.5t). Mileage is charged from mile 1 at £2.75/mi (3.5t) or £3.75/mi (7.5t). Extra fees may apply for non-rolling vehicles (2WD £100 / 4WD £200) or off-road / ditch recoveries (£60). All prices include VAT at 20%.
Payment
Your card is charged when you approve the quote. If a partner cannot be dispatched, you are refunded in full. Cancellation fees are set out in our Cancellation policy.
Your responsibilities
- Make sure the vehicle details you enter are accurate.
- Stay in a safe place while waiting for your driver.
- Follow your driver's safety instructions on site.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
